The South Shore University Hospital’s CRNAs are kicking off CRNA Week by raising funds for Long Island Cares, the Harry Chapin Regional Food Bank.

This past year has been one of the most challenging in Long Island Cares’ history, and your support means more than ever.

Founded by Harry Chapin in 1980, Long Island Cares was built on one simple belief: no one in our community should go hungry. Today, more than 313,800 neighbors, including 71,500 children, face food insecurity every day. Cuts to government programs, declining donations, and rising need have created a perfect storm. Pantry visits are up over 30%, and families who once had stability are now turning to Long Island Cares in crisis.

Yet Long Island Cares continues to show up, distributing more than 13 million pounds of food each year to ensure our community has the nourishment and support it needs.

Every $10 donated helps provide 6 nourishing meals. Any amount you can contribute will help us reach our $3,000 goal and support Long Island families through this difficult season.

Together, we can bring hope to every table. Thank you for your support and for sharing this campaign.

*Online gifts have transaction costs, so we set a $5 minimum to keep more of every donation going directly to our mission.
